Hummus

Homemade hummus has been a real discovery for me. First because it is very simple to make and second because it is even more tastier than the one you can buy or find in Lebanese grocery. The chickpeas texture gives a creamy consistency, the lemon juice makes it fresh and the tahini adds this incredible taste.

This recipe is healthy as it takes advantage of all the chickpeas health benefits. As chickpeas are full of fiber, it helps prevent digestive disorders, can keep you full longer and control your appetite. It is also a great source of protein, comparable to meat or dairy foods without the high calories or saturated fats.  It also can boost your energy because of their high iron content.

Hope you'll enjoy this recipe as much as I do.
