Healthy Super-food III
I think it is going to snow very soon in Paris, we have reached 5 degrees yesterday at our maximum temperature of the day. As the atmosphere is humid, the perceived temperature should be under zero and it makes me feel like I'm back to Montreal during the autumn season, except that in Montreal the sun is shining! Therefore, once again, we need to get prepared to face the freezing winter coming and for that here is a new post on healthy super-food:
Aloe Vera: has both internal and external applications for its medicinal and nutritional benefits. It has become the ultimate habits as it helps digestion and weight lose, heals burn and improve your immune system. It is full of vitamins, calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, manganese and amino acids which help reducing symptoms of allergies and therefore boost your capacity to adapt to changes. It is also one of the main ingredient that can detox your body, as the gel move through the body absorbing toxins to get eliminated through the colon. It is also great for your skin as it improves the elasticity and soften the skin. How to consume it: You can cut the plant and apply the gel directly on your skin and you can also drink it and add it in your smoothie.
Coconut butter: After the excitement about the coconut oil, here is its twin with almost the same or better benefits on your body as it contains fibers, which are great for your digestion and immune system. The main difference is that coconut oil is extracted from the coconut while the coconut butter is made from the meat of the coconut and includes actual pieces of coconut. How to consume it: You can dip fruits and veggies in it, use it to butter your pancakes or to drizzle it on your morning porridge.
