La Chambre aux oiseaux. Paris

French - This weekend, I've been to La Chambre aux oiseaux, a very nice place located in the 10th area close to the Canal Saint Martin. A cosy coffee where you can have breakfast, lunch and brunch on the weekend. The hardwood on the ground, the old chairs and sofas, the floral wallpapers, the beautiful tableware and the smell of fresh baked pastries make you directly travel to your grand'ma's home. This is what Hervé and Lena, the two founders, wanted to make us feel: at home, in a warm and stylish environment where you can chill while drinking your Tchaï Tea latte. 

From 10am, you can have breakfast "en ville" with coffee or tea, breads, butter and jams for 6.5€ or you can have breakfast "à la campagne" where you can add a ham and cheese platter or oatmeal with fruits and honey for 10.50€. During the week, at midday you will find sandwiches, salads and plates made with fresh ingredients, for 11€. And if you want dessert or if you arrive at tea time, you'll have a choice between 5 different desserts: carrot cake, banana bread, tiramisu, praline-nutella-cake, apple cinnamon crumble... All delicious!

Brunch time, best time! Served every saturday, sunday and public holidays, for 20€ you'll have a hot beverage, breads, butter and jams, an orange juice + an egg, a salad, some cheese and a serving of the daily special + a dessert of your choice. 

Sitting outside on the terrace, with the view on the Canal, feeling the sun on your face and savoring a delicious part of banana bread: you just reach paradise, as simple as that.
